Trupert is a Florida 2-20 licensed General Lines agent with Sunterra Insurance. He has spent more than a decade in property and casualty insurance, with a background that most agents don’t have: he spent years on the claims side before opening an agency.
He previously served as a Large Loss Field Adjuster with one of Florida's largest carriers, Claims Specialist with the North Carolina Underwriting Associations and many years doing independent work. He has held other licenses over the years including HAAG Certified Inspector, and held some IICRC certifications. Prior to getting into the insurance industry he was roof top working for one of Palm Beaches largest roofing companies. That combination—inspecting roofs and structures, handling large losses, and understanding restoration—means he approaches coverage the way a claims professional would, not just the way a salesperson would.
Sunterra focuses on multi-family residential and commercial property insurance in South Florida. Trupert works with building owners and property managers on admitted and surplus-lines placements, with particular attention to Florida’s coastal and habitational risks.
Max is a partner at Sunterra Insurance and a longtime South Florida real estate professional. He is a Florida-licensed real estate broker and the founder of Arbor Residential, a Delray Beach–based firm focused on multi-family property management and investment in the tri-county area.
He holds a master’s degree in real estate development and has spent more than a decade working with commercial and multi-family assets—leasing, acquisitions, operations, and day-to-day management. That owner-and-operator view is what he brings to Sunterra: he understands how insurance affects an investment property's NOI while protecting the asset in an ever-changing market.
Max works with property owners and managers who need coverage that matches how their assets are bought, financed, and operated—not a generic policy that fails to meet specific goals. Together with the agency’s licensed P&C team, he helps multi-family and commercial clients think about risk in the most cost efficient way.
